Each fireworks program reflects the hopes and messages of its sponsoring company or organization. Look out for unique displays inspired by corporate colors and company anniversaries.
In Japan, firework shells are traditionally measured using a unit called “Go,” which refers to the diameter of the shell.
Firework Shell Size
• 10-Go shell (Shakudama): approximately 30 cm in diameter
• 30-Go shell (Sho-Sanjakudama): approximately 90 cm in diameter
Size at Full Bloom
- 30-Go shell (Sho-Sanjakudama)
- Launch height: approximately 600 m
- Burst diameter: approximately 650 m
- Large enough to encompass the entire Tokyo Skytree
- 10-Go shell (Shakudama)
- Launch height: approximately 330 m
- Burst diameter: approximately 300 m
- Large enough to encompass the entire Tokyo Tower
